ILTCCABC Announces New Executive Board Following September Annual General Meeting
The Independent Long-Term Care Councils Association of BC (ILTCCABC) is pleased to introduce its newly elected executive board following the Annual General Meeting held on Monday, September 28.
As the provincial non-profit society representing long-term care (LTC) residents, families, and representatives, ILTCCABC enters this new season with a deeply dedicated leadership team.
The newly appointed executive members are:
- Robyn McCorquodale — President
- Glen Koropchuk — Vice President
- Sohila Sherbafi — Treasurer
- Scott Campbell — Secretary
This newly formed executive brings together exceptional leadership experience, regional insight, and a shared dedication to independent, family-led advocacy across British Columbia. The board takes the lead during a pivotal time, building directly on the organization’s momentum to expand support networks and grow the Family Council Movement across the province.
“We look forward to a new season ahead representing the important collective voice of residents and their families and representatives in Long-Term Care,” says newly elected President Robyn McCorquodale. “Together with our five regional associations representing the voices of local family councils throughout the province, we remain firmly committed to elevating concerns to facility operators, regional health authorities, and the Ministry of Health, to champion a person-centred approach to quality of life.”
The incoming executive extends its deepest gratitude to the outgoing board members and regional volunteers for their resolute stewardship and foundational advocacy.
Moving forward, the board’s immediate priorities include continuing to build awareness of the organization as a primary source to strengthen independent council networks in every BC Health Authority.
Family councils, care partners, care home operators, and other key stakeholders in the long-term care community are invited to connect with the new board or reach out to the corresponding regional chapters:
