Systemic Issues
The provincial family council association has identified multiple systemic issues in Long-Term Care; VCAFC is currently focused on three main systemic issues:
Housing - increased funding for more beds midst a rising waitlist for Long-Term Care;
Admissions - Increased awareness for mindful placement of residents for quality of life and safety - the right care for the right people in the right place;
Resources - increased funding for more staffing, staff training and direct hours of care.
