DESCRIPTION:VCAFC holds regional family council forums regularly to invite our member independent family councils together to share their ideas and concerns across our VCH region. We support one another by celebrating positive stories about what family councils can do and we share and tackle the barriers to family councils being effective and sustainable. \n\n\n\nWe also ensure systemic issues across our long-term care system are teased out. These are priorities which should be tackled by our Ministry of Health. We raise those issues by way of the provincial association of  family council meetings. Our regional association representatives meet monthly to share with ILTCCABC the voices of their family councils.

SUMMARY:BCCPA 47th Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:The 47th Annual Conference will return the Fairmont Chateau Whistler May 26-28th\, 2024. \n\n\n\nILTCCABC will be attending the congress.  Come visit us at our table in the conference lobby.  \n\n\n\nCentered around the theme “Come Together\,” the conference recognizes the BC Seniors Living Association coming together with the BC Care Providers Association through a special resolution approved at their Annual General Meeting in September. \n\n\n\nThe conference will bring together operators from across the seniors living\, wellness\, and care sector. The agenda has been expanded with an additional concurrent session stream and two deep dive sessions dedicated to the seniors living and private pay audiences. Of course\, the program will include content for long-term care\, assisted living\, and home health audiences. Sessions will be aligned along the themes of creating quality\, workforce and leadership\, and the business of seniors living and care.
